What are those dots on a carousel? Some users might have an idea, but most don’t pay attention to them. For one, they’re hard to notice because of their small size. Not only that, but they’re also placed below the content where users don’t look.
If users aren’t paying attention to the dots, they aren’t aware of their progress when they scroll a carousel. As a result, they’re less inclined to scroll to the end because they aren’t sure how much time and effort it’ll take. Less scrolling means less engagement with content.
