Why “View More” Buttons Are Better Than Pagination Links

How easy is it for users to browse your page content? If you’re using pagination links, you’re making it slower and harder for them to explore.

Pagination links have been the traditional way for users to navigate and view pages. However, they have many UX problems most designers aren’t aware of. To improve the user’s browsing experience, use the “View More” button instead.

An issue with pagination links is that they incur full page loads when users click on them. Every time they paginate, new elements will repopulate the page. As a result, they’ll see small areas of whitespace flash on their screen as the page loads. This effect breaks the flow of their visual experience and makes it choppy.
