Win 3 Lifetime Prototyping Accounts of FileSquare
by Vanessa Li on 11/28/12 at 11:12 am
FileSquare is offering three fully-featured lifetime accounts ($19/Month each) to UX Movement readers!
Why you should choose FileSquare
FileSquare is a simple tool to make click-through mockups, and collect feedback on your designs. It’s the perfect tool for web agencies, software houses, freelance developers and designers.
1) Usability testing with mobile app prototypes

Create click-through mockups to test the flow and interaction of your app design on mobile or web. By presenting a high-fidelity prototype, you can gain more insight and feedback on usability compared to low-fidelity wireframes or paper prototypes.
2) Makes working with freelancers and clients more efficient

Explain or discuss your latest design project with a freelancer or colleague and point out the problem from a screenshot of your work in progress. FileSquare makes working with freelancers or remote teams quick and easy.
3) Impress your clients and get approval faster

Impress your clients with high-fidelity prototypes and present designs that look “almost like a real thing”. FileSquare helps your clients understand your design better, and allows them to give feedback with annotations. No more vague comments about making the design “pop” – feedback will be specific, concrete and actionable.

FileSquare is easy to use
FileSquare might seem hard to use, but it’s not. Although we’ve developed over 10 powerful features, creating prototypes and getting feedback is still easy to do in three steps.
Step One
Upload your design files.

Step Two
Link up the files by clicking and dragging, and create your prototype.

Step Three
Test your prototype for mobile or web.

Besides FileSquare, Oursky also has: PandaForm, a database that manages all forms a company needs; ActionSnap, a simple camera that captures action and movement; Spentable, a simple enough expense tracker that you'll actually use it; ChatBox, an app that allows you to discuss or comment on files shared over Dropbox. I’d use it to get started on my own game project. I’m trying to figure out how you could make free to play gaming fun and rewarding instead of tedious and unfair. Every person should feel that they got more than they paid for independent of how much they paid.

I am new in UI/UX and ready to make my mark.
FileSquare could help me set myself apart from other freelancers!
I am looking for a way to provide a wider range of services. I’m also trying to show that even though I have little experience I am a true professional.
I could use so many of the FileSquare features to get help from colleagues to improve my skills and to show impressive mockups to clients that will help me get my first real job as a UX freelancer!!

I love the idea of this. Me being a beginner in the web world, I would totally use this to incorporate in my lo-fi and hi-fi design concepts instead of coding in flash catalyst for transitions. Awesome tool for overlooked errors and exceptional for A/B testing results.
Good job guys…Great work/Product!

Great timing, I’m just evaluating products for mobile prototyping. I’d love to use this for creating high fidelity prototypes from professional designs that can be spread and tested widely, and also wireframe based mockups for earlier testing. There are three apps we’d use this for immediately. Tweeted, btw

I’d use to prototype the mobile version of my company’s SaaS product. It’s a data-heavy website with overloaded navigation, often-complex forms, and poor IA.
I’ve been pursuing this project independently, and having a solid prototype would go a long way on selling it to the bosses.

We’d love to use FileSquare’s mobile prototypes as a tool to aid our design and interaction explorations as we adapt our interactive data visualizations for touch-centric experiences on mobile devices.

As a designer, I have multiple ideas to develop, and I could use it to take those ideas to a real problem solving situation, I’m also looking to connect with developers from anywhere to help me to achieve those goals and create good products, and applications, it could be really, really helpful.
Thanks!

This is something that is missing to me. Everyone should use it. It is really the key to make the stakeholders fully understand your design. Useful both for freelancers and agencies. Great!

Perfect
! I was just looking for a mobile prototyping solution. I would use it to:
1. Improve Client understanding of a product
I find that clients sometimes have a hard time understanding wireframes and prototypes that have not been laid out yet.
Presenting them with a prototype that contains interactions AND layouts would probably improve their understanding of the product you are buidling them.
2. Speed up the iterative process and
3. provide a stronger basis for testing the product.
