Toolkits save time and help designers focus on the “what” of interaction design, not the sidetracking issues of how these design patterns and elements are styled. The user benefit of using hi-fi toolkits is that designers are encouraged to adopt platform and best-of-class models, rather than homegrown versions that the user has to decode. Shared resources are the underlayment of how best new ideas get adopted and popularized in design.

Fixing my poor website. I’m a UX researcher with a website that doesn’t suggest I know what people want out of design. I work on graphical representations of data in my research, and I need to be able to visualize my labs research better as well.

    Hi UXmovement,

In light of the passing of Nelson Mandela, I wanted to create a web app that eulogizes his life according to Twitter. This project would involve pulling and organizing recent tweets using the Twitter Api. The app would also have an analytics feature that would track various aspects of the conversation and display stats using graphs.

PixelKit would provide me with the much needed professional design assets to make this project a design success. The ready to use, out of the box assets would cut down my project time by 50% at the same time retaining consistency in design.

I hope I get the annual membership :) and thank you for reviewing my application.

I have been working with film for the past 15 years but, I was trained as a graphic and package designer since the age of 15. I recently began to use that side of my creativity because I’ve designed a RPG app. So, I’m designing logos, wireframes and, learning about everything that has happened since. The membership would definitely help me get back in the groove again.
